Hotel Vila Monte is located in Moncarapacho. Carefully preserving the
traditional architecture; the property was transformed into a manor
house in 1979. In 1985 the property was transformed into a guesthouse,
laying down the foundations for the present hotel and resort. In 1993
the guest houses Ermitage and Vila d’Este were added as well as the
Patinho, which presently houses the bar, reception and lounge. With the
inauguration of the Orangerie in 1999 the resort reached its present
size. The well preserved park with its spectacular ancient trees gives
the resort a unique atmosphere.
The guesthouses are spread around the park amidst ponds and a pavillion.
Three pools, one heated in winter, are an inviting and refreshing oasis.
The guesthouses, which have their own sun terraces, offer 55 rooms with
a capacity of 107 beds. The Quinta's six rooms are located in a romantic
garden, amidst ancient trees. The pool is surrounded by terraces and a
lawn, where you can enjoy the sun or cool off in the shade. The entrance
to Ermitage opens into a bright courtyard which leads to the 20 pleasant
guest rooms. The viewpoint “Miradouro” with its beautiful Swallow Tower
is a popular place for sun-worshippers to relax. The private character
of Vila d’Este with 5 individually furnished rooms makes it the ideal
accommodation for large families or a group of friends. The separate
pool further provides a private atmosphere to this little oasis. The
Orangerie built in monastic architectural style offers 24 bright suites
with a modern interior. The suites on the ground floor have their own
seating covered by arcades and a terrace with sea or countryside views.
The junior suites on the upper floor lead onto a spacious terrace, ideal
to relax in the sun. All suites are comprised of bedroom, living room (with
sofa-bed), and bathroom.
The restaurant with its high open pyramid ceiling is clearly the pride
of the hotel. The terrace offers spectacular views to the sea and the
countryside. Experience the haute cuisine, served by a friendly team,
under the Italian-designed romantic chandeliers! The weekly Gala Dinner
is accompanied by live music. |
