The Albamanjon has a privileged
waterfront location facing the ever famous Lagunas de Ruidera, a chain
of small lakes in the region of La Mancha which is really worthwhile
visiting. The hotel structure is formed by different terraces escalating
a mountain, the rooms are all located at different levels, so if you
mind steps, better ask for one of the lower level rooms. There is one in
particular which is quite appealing, it is called the tower room. They
converted a classical La Mancha into kind of a suite, by dividing it
into three levels; the entrance at mid level, where you find a living
room. The bedroom is one flight up from this level and the bathroom is
one level lower than the living room, a rather interesting bathroom at
that, because the whole base of the mill’s tower is now one huge
bathroom. Albamanjon is owned and operated by a young couple from
Barcelona who have really put their heart and soul int recuperating this
establishment. The Albamanjon was already a hotel when they bought it,
but was absolutely run down, nothing comparable to what it is now, a
very pleasant play to stay with a nice restaurant overlooking the lake.
