Route de l´Altiport, B.P. 13 73120 Courchevel − France
The Alpes Hôtel Pralong overlooks the Trois Vallées and surveys the village of Courchevel spread out below. Recently crowned with a fifth star, it is a perfect example of the French art of hospitality with a typically Alpine style. Warmth and conviviality are as important here as luxury and elegance; there is no room here for ostentation. The discreet charm and Savoyard spirit of this hotel makes it highly popular with families (of whom some have holidayed here for several generations) who enjoy the spectacular scenery, a welcome which is always highly competent and exclusive facilities.
At the Hôtel Pralong the notion of service really comes into its own; every single member of staff is deeply committed to meeting clients’ expectations. Our goal is to transform every stay into an unforgettable memory. Do you need a babysitter, a hairdresser, room service, or a private garage with valet parking? Or perhaps concierge or laundry services? Nothing is impossible! You can even leave the hotel on skis.
Some of the hotel’s 65 guest rooms offer a superb view over the valley, while the others feature a balcony looking out over the Trois Vallées ski area. With an average floor space of 30 square metres, they are all elegantly decorated in a range of beige tones. Their cosy atmosphere makes these rooms particularly delightful.
The suites, like the guest rooms, the Pralong’s eight suites are decorated in traditional materials in a palette of neutral tones. The four family suites are made up of a private sitting room and two bedrooms, enabling parents and children to share some unforgettable family moments.
The Pralong wellness centre features a heated swimming pool (renowned as one of the finest in the resort), a steam bath, Jacuzzi and spa, as well as a SkinCeuticals beauty centre providing body and facial treatments by professionally trained beauty therapists. The SkinCeuticals philosophy is based on three complementary principles: to prevent signs of premature aging, to correct visible signs of age (in particular through the use of pure and highly concentrated active ingredients) and to protect healthy skin from the harmful effects of UV radiation through the daily use of sunscreen.
Spa guests will have the opportunity to discover facial treatment protocols (intensive, detoxifying, unifying radiance, soothing, perfecting, and supreme anti-aging restructuring treatments, each of which is performed in 9 steps and lasts on average for an hour). Body treatments include double-peel activator, restorative resurfacing and rejuvenating firming treatment, the three anti-aging protocols developed by SkinCeuticals.
After the day’s exertions, the Wellness centre’s own physiotherapists are on hand to help you recover from any aches and stiffness with a relaxing massage.
A choice location for business workshops and seminars, the Pralong hotel offers the possibility of combining work and pleasure in a single venue. Two modular meeting rooms, each of which can accommodate 30 to 40 participants, are equipped with screens and WiFi connections etc., providing cutting-edge technology. For relaxation, participants can wind down by the swimming pool or let themselves be pampered in the Wellness centre.
When Courchevel was first established in 1946 it was the result of a rather mad gamble. Its founders were thinking on a grand (even monumental) scale. Nearly 70 years later, Courchevel has proved them right. With unbounded exuberance it holds its own amongst the towering peaks that surround it. The Trois Vallées ski area, to which Courchevel belongs, is the largest in the world and is spread over five different resorts. Each one has something exceptional to offer. The first is Saint-Bon at 1100 metres, followed by the typically alpine and very charming Courchevel Le Praz (1300 metres), then Courchevel 1550 which provides direct access to Courchevel 1850 and lastly Courchevel, the “jewel in the crown”. With 150 kilometres of slopes and 71 ski lifts, the resorts are an ideal destination for mountain lovers, experienced skiers or beginners, hikers, or those who simply wish to enjoy the picture postcard panoramas.
Courchevel’s architecture reflects its pioneering character (it is the only French resort to contain 6 buildings included in the French Historic Monuments register). It retains the traditional charm of its early years while being constantly kept up to date and modernised so that visitors can live the dream whatever the season. Its panoramic views over the Swiss and Italian Alps are breathtaking. Courchevel’s 61 hectare ski area features 150 kilometres of slopes of which 20% are green, 36% blue, 36% red and 8% black. Skiers can enjoy the use of 71 ski lifts, of which 30 are button-lifts, drag-lifts and carpet-lifts, 20 are 4-seater chair-lifts, 12 are cable-cars, 6 are 2-seater chair-lifts and 3 are 3-seater chair-lifts.
Since 8 September 2011 the resort names have dropped their altitudes: Le Praz has become Courchevel Le Praz, while Courchevel 1550 now bears the name of Courchevel Village. Courchevel 1650 is now Courchevel Moriond, while Courchevel 1850 is simply Courchevel. As always, visitors can expect a magical experience. And whatever your level of skills and your interpretation of snow sports, you will feel at home in Courchevel.
Guests can enjoy a gourmet experience with their eyes and their taste buds, either inside or on the terrace. Breakfast offers a choice of a traditional or organic and energising buffet (indispensible before a day on the slopes or just out in the fresh air). Lunch again takes the form of buffets, as attractive as they are enticing; more traditional dishes are served at dinner. On Thursday evenings a seafood buffet will delight gourmet diners.
Please fill this form for individuals or for groups and you shall receive an answer written by a live person at Alpes Hotel Pralong. This is the only way you can know exactly what room types are available for the dates you want, and the best possible rate, because you are dealing directly with the hotel.
Bear in mind that websites set up to give an automatic answer, work with allocated quotas given by the hotel, therefore when it appears there are no rooms available for the date you want, this is not necessarily true, because they never allocate ALL the rooms to third parties.
