L'Assiette Champenoise is a
four star hotel located in the suburbs, less than fifteen minutes
driving from downtown Reims. The grounds on which the hotel is situated
are enclosed by a wall and rather extensive, all of which contributes to
the safety and tranquillity the hotel offers. For the rest, the hotel
was built very much in American style, with a building that stretches
out horizontally rather that upwards, like any typical good hotel in a
small town in the United States. The rooms are comfortable and decorated
in a contemporary-modern style. For people travelling by car, coming to
the Champagne country, this hotel is a place we certainly recommend
because staying in downtown Reims with a car, could be a little
inconvenient, being Reims a beautiful ancient city, maybe a bit too
congested, because of so much champagne business from all over the world
being conducted there. L’Assiette Champenoise is an also very well known
for its restaurant. Unfortunately, we did not have the opportunity of
eating at the restaurant since it was closed for low season when we
visited the hotel. |
