Grand Hotel Astoria was built in the beginning of the 20th century, when Grado was the Habsburger's Summer resort with the name of Hotel Lido. The hotel knew glory and smartness, being the seat of the local casino. It was completely rebuilt and re-opened in 1991.The Hotel is situated in the historical Roman centre and a few meters from the seaside.
The Hotel offers rich buffets and home made sweets. Besides to its classic restaurant there is also a panoramic bar-restaurant on the 7th floor with seaview, the inn ”al Gial” where to have a taste of exquisite wines and the typical products of Friuli’s cuisine.
Situated on the 7th floor, Grand Hotel Astoria offers courses of hydrothermal cures with medical assistance and highly specialized staff.
