"We had stayed and Castle Hotel Auf Schoenburg several times five years ago, and were very pleased that the hotel is as good as it always was. We had the added pleasure that the weather was good and we could dine outside on the terrace with that wonderful view of the river. The service at Schoenburg was excellent, and the setting could not be better. We will be back next year."

"Superb time. We will be back. Lovely wait staff. The wonderful lady at the front desk the evening we arrived was unusually helpful in checking on lost items at the hotel we stayed at the evening before. She was very professional and kind. She gave us a well documented copy of fax correspondence and arranged for our next days travel plans. The front desk and wait staff are everything to a business. The charming Frau/Owner of the Castle was a delight to meet the morning of our departure .... and went to an extreme effort to arrange for our purchase of a particular souvenier. Bravo to the Entire Cast."

"Our stay at Castle Hotel Auf Schoenburg was very relaxing. Unfortunately, we stayed in March when the weather was not the best. Also, it seems we stayed during a weekend when nothing was open in the outlying area and neighboring towns. We wanted to take a cruise on the Rhine River, but once again the weather was not the best.
The reason for our stay was my wife's birthday. I wanted to take her to a castle for a romantic getaway. The Catle Schoenburg had all the potential, but I was naive to think the weather would cooperate. If we were to return during the summer, I would have no regrets.
One suggestion that I think would help is the packaging of a weekend getaway for couples. Also, I think many companies would love the idea of retreating to a castle for seminars and other business meetings."

"Our stay at the Castle Hotel Auf Schoenburg on the night of the 25 December 2005 was just great! We had a superb room with a bathroom hidden by a bookshelf! The room was beautifully furnished with lovely antiques and yet up to date and modern with the electrical equipment needed for a hotel room.
I would highly recommend this place...except for the climb to the castle would not be that easy for some...and then once in the castle we had another 2 flight climb to the room...but worth every step! We did not, however, eat at the castle for dinner, but the breakfast was lovely."

"Absolutely magical. Diner was awesome, apple wine was great, view was phenomenal room was perfect, the bed was comfortable beyond belief. I felt like a stepped back in time.
Oh yes! and the staff... Outstanding !!!!!!!!!! I will be back. Not sure when but I will.

" Our stay at the Castle Hotel Auf Schoenburg was magical and very romantic. The room was perfect including the CD player with the choice of different classical music. The bed was very comfortable and surprisingly the bathroom was very big considering we were on the top floor of the castle. Our view was beautiful from all windows. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were very professional in every way. We certainly felt like a King and Queen. We would recommend this Castle Hotel to anyone that would be going to Germany.

" Our stay at this hotel was excellent. The room was fantastic, the service was very courteous and efficient. We would book this hotel again in a heartbeat.
The only thing that wasn’t perfect was the first night’s meal – the chef seemed to be having an off day. However, the service was great and we very much enjoyed the meal, none the less.
Overall, top ratings for this hotel!!

"I stayed at the above hotel for 3 days and enjoyed my stay immensely. The grounds, room and restaurant were all outstanding. My room which overlooked the Rhein, was beautifully decorated and very clean with numerous fine touches. We enjoyed evening meals on two evenings, where the food, wine, service and presentation were excellent. I found the outdoor terraces very pleasant areas for an afternoon coffee or a glass of wine. The hotel has many little nooks to sit and enjoy the quiet or the views of the Rhein and the valley and despite numerous visitors and hotel guests it was easy to find a quiet beautiful spot to relax. In the evening there are numerous cosy sitting areas to enjoy a book, conversation or a good port. I have no criticism of any aspect of the hotel service; all requests were dealt with promptly and courteously. All the staff, not just the managers were pleasant and efficient, and were always happy to assist. I would certainly return to Schoenburg in the future when visiting the area."

"My family of five stayed at Auf Schoenberg on our first day in Germany. I had stayed here many years ago when I was teaching for Boston University (and my family was in Ansbach). We wanted to make the first night in Germany memorable and Auf Schoenberg was chosen (we even were willing to move our travel plans to stay at the castle!)
Our expectations were exceeded! The rooms were more spacious that we had expected and the amenities were on par with the better hotels we’ve stayed at. Moreover, the view was to die for!!!!
While expensive, our stay at Auf Schoenburg was the perfect way to begin our three-week vacation through southern Germany, Austria, and Switzerland."
