What to expect

A magnificent 18th century Georgian house, located in the heart of the Boyne Valley, less than 5 minutes of the M3 and under 40 minutes from Dublin City centre and Dublin airport.

A property designed originally by Richard Castles for John Preston, this house was once used as a country retreat for the Preston Family, to abscond from the city for the summer months.

Following over 260 years of beautiful history the purpose of Bellinter House remains the same, a retreat from ones daily life.

On arriving, you will find yourself succumb to the peacefulness and serenity that is Bellinter House.

The Stables

There are five duplex rooms in the Stables block and two single storey dwellings called the Lean-To.

Ideal for families & girlie groups, The Stables' comprise of two bedroomed duplex apartments. All have wooden beams, big skylights and stable doors, in keeping with their previous function at Bellinter, that opened out onto a beautiful courtyard.

The Lean-To bedrooms are ideal for two people sharing with huge, luxurious beds and spacious showers.

The Ruins

The Ruins host our seven Bathhouse treatment rooms and six very tranquil bedrooms. Situated adjacent to the West Pavilion they are away from the Main House and ideal for those looking for complete rest and relaxation. Each of the six bedrooms in The Ruins sleeps two people.

A night’s rest in the Ruins is the ultimate pleasure as the soothing aroma from our Bathhouse Spa infuses the air of these luxurious bedrooms. If breathing in the luxurious smells of Voya throughout the night sounds like a dream to you, then you must book a room in our Ruins.

East & West Pavilions

The East and West Pavilions which line each side of the Main House have 16 rooms between them. They are snug and cosy, perfectly formed bedrooms with a natural style – exactly what you would expect in a country house.

Some guestrooms have exposed wooden beams. Others have views of the rolling Boyne Valley countryside. All are equally comfortable and individually styled and the perfect choice for a peaceful break away.

The Main House

Feel like you deserve the ultimate treat, then a room in our Main House is a must for you. The Main House at Bellinter House has five individually designed bedrooms, four original Georgian rooms which comprise of our master suite; The Lady Tara Suite, The Briscoe Suite, The Castles Suite and The Boyne Suite. The Main House concludes with one Loft Room which is a modern conversion also located in the Main House.

In the first-floor rooms, through great big sash windows, guests can happily take in the views of the lush meadows along the banks of the River Boyne. These rooms are immense wood panelled rooms with extra-large bathrooms.  The Loft bedroom is located on the top floor with a semi-separate living area.

A room in the Main House is a must for someone celebrating a special occasion and offer a luxury that should be experience by everyone at least once in their lifetime.

The Bathhouse Spa

No trip to Bellinter House is complete without a visit to The Bathhouse Spa. Situated in the heart of the Ruins, The Bathhouse Spa is so called because of the signature seaweed baths that are our specialty.

The Bathhouse Spa welcomes all guests both residents and non-residents to take time out and to escape to the solitude of the property. We offer a wide range of holistic, rejuvenating and relaxing therapies and massage treatments.

We pride ourselves in using Voya products which are the world’s first certified organic seaweed based products. They blend wild hand harvested seaweed with some of the finest elements from nature - shea butter, bees wax, dead sea salts, pure aloe vera and essential oils. Not only do the ingredients restore and rejuvenate the mind, the careful blend of essential oils in each product balances the body and soul.

Why not delight in our Ocean Fresh Deluxe Facial or experience one of our Signature Seaweed Leaf Wraps. Even better, treat yourself to a soak in our Cleopatra Milk and Honey Bath which will leave your skin remarkably illuminated and hydrated. Afterwards slip in to the Sauna or Steam Room and then dip into our wonderful outdoor hot tub.

Bellinter House is a great place to do business, with a relaxed ambiance we offer both indoor and outdoor spaces designed for the perfect creative environment. The House is easily accessed and conveniently located just off the M3 - just over a 30-minute drive from Dublin City Centre.

The house and grounds of Bellinter House offers a unique setting for any conference or event. We have the capacity to accommodate a variety of events ranging from small half day meetings to large week long conferences.

We offer a variety of meeting rooms with state of the art facilities in the main house, ideal for brainstorming sessions and in addition have larger suites available for events for up to 200 people with doors opening out to our magnificent grounds.

We regularly cater for Exclusive Corporate Events, this offers you the ideal privacy for a working environment.

Bellinter House is located on 12 acres of land, ideal for companies wishing to explore the option of onsite team building. We work with a wide range of activity based companies, we can also arrange yoga, pilates and meditation classes onsite, spa treatments in our Bathhouse Spa or golf on a nearby course.

With 34 bedrooms onsite, we have the perfect facilities for a residential conference and we offer complimentary use of our outdoor hot tub, sauna and steam room for all of our residents. We can arrange corporate rates for any guests travelling through Navan on a regular basis.

Bellinter House has an extraordinary reputation for its food, featuring an AA award winning restaurant. Bellinter Houses offers a variety of options for breaks and lunches which can be served to your meeting room, in our Drawing Room or in our renowned Eden Restaurant.

In the evening guests can choose to dine privately in our Library, Wine Cellar or in our Refectory Suite, alternately they can choose to dine in our Eden Restaurant. Menus available range from our restaurant menu, BBQ menus, Buffets and Tasting Menus.

We can design a menu to meet your needs and of course we cater for all dietary requirements. For an alternative twist why not enjoy some canapés or finger food in our Drawing Room or Games Room with a cocktail or a wine/whiskey tasting evening.

For international delegates, our close proximity to Dublin airport makes Bellinter House the ideal destination especially if your delegates have some spare time to explore Irelands Ancient East during their business trip. Bellinter House is primly located close to many of Irelands Ancient East’s attractions.

Weddings

Situated only 30 minutes from Dublin, Bellinter House is renowned as one of the most unique wedding venues in Ireland. This stunning 18th century georgian manor is set on banks of the River Boyne and offers exclusive use for weddings up to 206 guests.

Whether it’s a relaxing break with your better half, a family vacation, business trip or a weekend away with friends, when you stay at Bellinter House there are an abundance of activities for you to explore.

The grounds at Bellinter House are extensive and have sweeping lawns, ancient trees and a number of secluded spots to relax and laze. There is a labyrinth of local footpaths and trails to explore and wellingtons are available for guests to borrow. We have listed below some additional activities that maybe of interest to you.

Fishing

The River Boyne runs right along the grounds of Bellinter House and has a good run of salmon and sea trout especially between the start of Summer and early Autumn.

The majority of game angling is controlled by Angling Associations and therefore permits are required. For more details please contact our team directly on 046-9030900 or visit their website.

Painting, Mindfulness, Pilates and Yoga Workshops

Group activities can be ran for our guests on a request basis, including painting courses (one to one and groups), Mindfulness sessions, Pilates and Yoga Classes. To arrange this please contact reservations in advance of your arrival. Minimum numbers are required for some of these activities.

Hot Air Balloon

Make a magical dream come true and take a hot air balloon ride from our grounds at Bellinter House. This can be organised with a local company, however please be aware this activity is very much weather dependent.

Eden Restaurant

The Eden Restaurant at Bellinter House is recognised for its exceptionally high standards in culinary excellence by the AA Rosette Scheme.

Recently awarded the 2AA Rosette, the following reasons are the attributes associated to winning this award; ‘high standards, consistency, greater precision in the cooking of their food, along with the special attention provided to the selection of quality ingredients’. All of these aspects are the recipe to a perfect meal at Bellinter House.

The menus provided in Eden are seasonally based and produce is sourced locally wherever possible.

Breakfast is served in Eden from 8am until 11am, and dinner from 6.00pm until 9:30pm. 

Private lunches for groups can also be booked on request at Bellinter House.

Special dietary requests can be catered for by arrangement and gift vouchers are available as a perfect treat for someone special.

Please be advised that children are permitted in the Eden Restaurant at sittings before 19:00 - at both the 18:00 and 18:30 sittings. Please note Children are not permitted in Eden Restaurant past 8pm.

The Drawing Room and Bar are the heart and soul of the main house. Put your feet up and allow your mind to drift away from reality.

With Ceiling to floor casement windows, well-worn floorboards, grand old fireplaces, retro lighting, vintage furniture, inspired art, atmosphere and ambience – the Drawing Room and Main Bar are rooms filled full of life and charm.

Why not relax beside one of the two open fires and enjoy a friendly chat with some friends. Dine from our delicious drawing room menu or grab a drink from the main bar.

Immerse yourself in a chinwag with our friendly team of staff, maybe learn some more about the history of the house and the activities to do in the area.

 
Grab a book and be at one with yourself for a while without any disturbance. Gaze at the splendid views from our beautiful French doors looking out at our Patio and Woodland.

On a lovely summers day dine al fresco on our stunning patio and enjoy the rustle of nature in the background.

Food is served from 11am until 10pm in our Drawing Room and Afternoon Tea is a specialty with homemade sandwiches, sweet and savoury muffins, scones with preserves and fresh cream, cakes and pastries for you to enjoy.

- Take the N3 exit to Cavan/Navan

- Take the N8 from Cork to Abbeyleix.

- At redcow roundabout take 1st exit then join the M50 signposted Northbound airport.
