 Rieti’s history opens at
the beginning of the iron age. More ancient than Rome, to whose fate
it was linked in the following centuries, Rieti derives its name
from Rea, the mother of all the Gods. Rieti was the most important
centre of ramification for the process of colonisation directed by
the Sabini since the VIII century B.C. A pearl, amongst the many of
the artistic heritage of Rieti, is the town Theatre Flavio
Vespasiano, considered by critics and experts to be one of the most
beautiful in Italy as far as its architecture is concerned, above
all for the excellent acoustics. |
