Borgo Iesolana (Iesolana Farm)
is an old Tuscan hamlet dating back to 1500. Covering over 96 hectares
in the Chianti countryside, it is set among woods, olive groves and
vineyards along the old Roma road that once linked Siena with Florence.
It is located in the heart of the "Colli d'Ambra", halfway between
Arezzo (28 Kms.), Siena (38 Kms.) and Florence (50 Kms.). Personally
managed by its owners, Iesolana Farm produces its own wine, olive oil,
honey, grappa and other local gastronomic wonders for delight of its
guests.
After a meticulous restoration of the 3 ochre stained houses, 8 ensuite
flats are offered for a total capacity of 40 people; Most of them have
private terrace. The cool stone floors in the rooms and original wood-beamed
ceilings offer details from the past while the kitchens and baths
showcase modern comfort and amenities. Each flat varies in size from 1
to 4 bedrooms and are tastefully appointed with rustic furnishings and
country fabrics.
There is a Wine Bar where guests can enjoy guided wine tasting (for
individuals and for groups) with historical information about the place
and technical description of wine making. Theme dinners and breakfast
are also served.
Finally, at Borgo Iesolana you can relax by a panoramic swimming pool
which commands a view over the valley and nearby there is a lake where
fishing is available.
