The "Borgo Storico Seghetti Panichi" lies on the hill along the valley
of the River Tronto. The view offers a wide panorama ranging from the
towering heights of the Sibillini Mountanis and the Gran Sasso peak,
down to the Appennine hills, gently sloping down towards the turquoise
Adriatic Sea. The historic compound, built in different periods, is
formed of the Relais Villa, an ancient medieval fortress, which was
adapted into a country residence in the XVIII c; the San Pancrazio
Cottage and other buildings recently restored dating back to the XVUII
and the XIX c, sheltered by the ancient perimeter walls of the castle.
The Oratory, built in 1608, is decorated with precious frescoes
attributed to the Biagio Miniera school. The Villa is surrounded by a
historic garden of rare beauty, commissioned by the ancestors of the
Seghetti Panichi family and planted between 1875 and 1890 by the
renowned botanist and landscape gardener Ludwig Winter. The "Borgo" is a
unique and evocative site where all the fascination of history remains
unblemished thanks to the loving care of the owners.
Today the Borgo is a peaceful shelter from daily life, where attention
for details and quality service are blended with culture and tradition.
Guests can choose among ten suites furnished with antique pieces and
offering a complete range of facilities: five suites in the Relais Villa
and five separate apartment suites (duplexe) with bedroom, bathroom,
sitting room and kitchenette, in the San Pancrazio Cottage. The
restaurant "La Quintana", the coffee house, the bookshop, meeting rooms,
the swimming pool and sauna together with the historic gardens, complete
the compound. All suites with telephone, satellite TV, electronic safe,
minibar and air-conditioning. One apartment suite, la Sibilla, is
equipped for handicapped people. Internet point is available at the
