The Thalassotherapy
centre of Hotel Byblos has turned into a real temple of health among the
facilities of the hotel. It
has three indoor seawater pools, as well as several cabins for treatments,
dressing rooms, a sauna, rehabilitation areas, a gymnasium and a "tisaneria",
creating a fresh atmosphere as in ancient Rome. The fresh atmosphere of the
building has echoes of the ancient roman baths.
The aim of the Thalassotherapy is to supply the organism with elements
contained in great quantities in sea water, as iodine, sulphur, calcium and
magnesium, through the skin. All these components penetrate the skin when
the temperature of the water reaches the temperature of the body, that is,
37 grades centigrade. |

A new beauty
centre with exclusive products and techniques by La Prairie was inaugurated
in August 1996, as a complementary to the Louison Bobet Thalassotherapy
Centre. The rooms have
been carefully decorated in order to create a totally relaxing and
comfortable atmosphere for the clients. The centre offers a series of
treatments that dramatically delay the ageing process of the skin. The
Beauty Centre also offers additional services like depilation, full body
peeling, manicure and pedicure.
