The Casa Bermeja owns
its name to "bermeja", the word in Spanish used to define a brick
red colour. This rural hotel was given that name because the lady
owner, an interior designer from Madrid, centred the decoration on
that shade as well as other earth tones. This house is located in a
very small town, practically a village, about an hour and a half
from Madrid. It is like a secret little spot where people like to come
and enjoy the peaceful life of the countryside where the only noise
you hear is birds and a few chicken and roosters in the morning.
The Casa Bermeja is formed by a main building facing the street,
which houses the bedrooms on ground and upper level, living rooms
also upstairs, for reading, watching TV by a fireplace, or maybe
play a game of cards. The dining room is downstairs and leads to an
open inner patio with an enticing swimming pool and a building on
back, where the studio apartments are located. You find all of this
in the centre of a very small Spanish town where you must not be
wondered if when you walk out of the hotel, people look at you sort
of like asking one another: where do this people come from?, because
the town is so small they all know each other. |
