The countryside
is hilly, having pasture ground intermitted with bush areas
and with rocks yupping up fron the soil.
The altitude of the farm goes from a maximum of 615 mt. to a
minimum of 408 mt. above sea level, gradually decreasing
from the top of the hills down to the Chiascio river.
The Castle is at 500 mt. The annual precipitation ranges
around 1100 mm.,
varying from a maximum amount of precipitation in the months
of Dec, Jan, Feb. and March, and a minimum in June,July and
August.
Snowfalls are concentrated mainly in the months Dec. and Jan.,
with same sporadics ones in Feb. and March .
On the average the ground remains snow-covered for 15 to 20
days a year. |
