two outstanding courses will ensure an unforgettable
golfing experience:
Son Vida Golf: is the first and most
prestigious golf course in the Balearic Islands. It
was designed in the late fifties by F. W. Hawtree.
Par 71 is located just 3 Kms. from Palma's city
centre, and it is a wonderfully fun golf course. It
combines narrow and wide greens, mildly hilly holes
with flatter ones, all surrounded by lush
Mediterranean vegetation.
Son Muntaner Golf Course: located only 400
Mts. away from Son Vida Golf, offers all the
facilities a discerning golfer needs: peak area,
driving range, putting green and 3 practice holes. |

 Palma,
on the southern tip of the island, is the seat of the autonomous
government of the Balearic Islands, as well as the center for most
of Majorca's hotels, restaurants, and nightclubs. The Moors
constructed Palma in the style of a Casbah, or walled city. Its
roots are still visible, although obscured by the high-rise hotels
that have cropped up.
Palma’s city centre is 10 minutes away from the Castillo Hotel Son
Vida by car, and offers a wide selection of restaurants and
architectural features, such as the stunning cathedral. Castillo
Hotel Son Vida is within driving distance of Puerto Portals, one of
the world’s most famous yachting harbours. Also worth visiting is
the ancient village of Valldemossa, once the residence of Chopin. It
is situated within 20 minutes of the resort. Mallorca features at
least 15 golf courses within an hour of the hotel, and guests can
benefit from 10-15% reductions on green fees at many of these
locations. There are special tournaments open to guests at Easter
and Christmas.
