"We have stayed at the Chateau on 4 occasions now, I think, and have always been most impressed with everything. The rooms are comfortable, the restaurant and cuisine excellent and we particularly like the atmosphere at the Chateau - we find it very relaxed, and not pretentious.
The "all-in" package offering a bottle of House champagne is a good deal, their champagne being one of our favourites !
A superb place for a few nights' break - and we'll be back."

"Our stay was excellent. The service and cuisine were impeccable. It was really lovely to stay in such a romantic setting which remains unspoilt."

"We had a wonderful stay at Chateau d'Etoges with excellent food and very good service and we were very impressed. We were also very happy with our little gifts presented to us upon our departure. However, we were not so happy with the bed and furniture in the room. Altrhough unique in its setting (we stayed in the library with the snooker table) we felt that the bed could have been of better quality.
All in all, we would recommend the Chateau d'Etoges to any of our friends and we would stay with you again when we are in the region.

"Our stay at Chateau d'Etoges was wonderful! We enjoyed every minute we were there and our accomodations and meals were perfection. We took a wonderful bike ride through the vineyards at the suggestion of the concierge and it was marvelous. The pink champagne which was indigenous to Etoges was delicious. I would highly reccomend this Chateau."

"We had a most enjoyable stay! The chateaux was wonderful. We particularly enjoyed walking in the gardens, admiring the waterfalls and eating your superb food!
All of the staff were pleasent and freindly. Our room was more than i could have wished for. Thank you for making our stay extra special."

"We have spent very, very nice days in Chateau d'Etoges. The hole team was extrem friendly and the service was indeed excellent. We have seen the last years a lot of chateau hotels in france who were all lovely. But in this one we felt a familiar atmosphare. The food and wine were also excellent. We could not say, what wasn´t OK. Everything was very nice. We love the "old atmosphare" so much and we´ll surely stay once more in this nice and lovely hotel.
Greetings from Vienna."

"We had a very pleasant stay at Chateau Etoges. The restaurant was excellent.
The only disappointment was that the moat had developed a leak. Prior to our visit I had emailed the hotel about the possibility of a balloon trip. There respose was prompt and extremely helpful. I would recommend both the hotel and your company to anyone."

"Chateau d’Etoges is one of the most charming hotels we have stayed in, in all our travels not only through France but across the world. We have a long history with the Chateau, we conducted our marriage there in 1999 and have visited regularly since and before then.
The hotel itself is beautifully charming with wonderful rooms to suit all tastes in expense. The dining rooms are wonderfully appointed and the food fantastic. The house champagne is delicious and affordable and comes highly recommended.
The location of the chateau is great as well, nestled into the vineyards of Etoges with wonderful views and lovely walks in the area. I have often said it misses a swimming pool but, at the same time, this would change the atmosphere and thus is a good thing. The local villages, especially Montmort Lucy, are very charming and Epernay is only 15 minutes away.
All in all we love the hotel and only hope that it remains as charming under the ownership of Mme Neuville as it becomes more popular."

"We had a very memorable stay at Chateau de Etoges. We really have very little criticism. The Chateau itself is obviously beautiful, well located to tour the Champagne region and seems very well maintained. The staff were all helpful and friendly. The room was spacious, although having a billiard table take up much of the floorspace was unnecessary. Our main highlight will be the food - the restaurant really was excellent and every meal we had there was a pleasure - the choice was very good and the quality of ingredients and preparation was top class.
We hope to return at some point, or use other hotels from your website since we enjoyed Etoges so much."

"We had a fabulous time and have recommended the Chateau d'Etoges to everyone we know. We hope to stay at the Chateau during 2006."

"My wife, daughter and me thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Chateau dEtoges. We were looked after extremely well and we were able to try nearly all the menus and have to say that the cuisine is of a very high standard with wonderful attention to detail. The restaurant staff were so helpful and obliging.
The small number of rooms makes it very personable. I know that the Orangerie was damaged by fire and will be rebuilt in the next 12 months and I do wonder whether the increased number of people staying at the Chateau will have a negative impact. Small is beautiful!!!

"This visit was our 4th and I am so looking forward to another stay - each time it just gets better and better. It is a truly lovely experience and the food was exquisite and the staff extremely professional and courteous. Our room was a little chilly as we were in a turret room but they had allowed for this by leaving an electric fire in the wardrobe should we need it - we did!!!! The package was the champagne and gastronomique but sadly there was only availability for one night."

"Chateau d'etoges was charming. We rather sadly had what had clearly once been the maid's room and hence had no view but apart from that the room was very comfortable.
The hotel was extremely busy as it was Christmas and this meant that the Public rooms were a bit cramped and there was not room for everyone to sit
comfortably. The staff seemed somewhat unprepared for this but did manage to organise a seat for a pre-dinner drink. Normally the sofas round the fire were welcoming and good for a relaxing drink in the
early evening.
We stayed for two nights and on both evenings the set dinners were good and the staff were friendly and efficient despite the numbers. They had an excellent cheese board.
We thought that the Chateau while having a slightly disoragnised air, provided a comfortable stop at excellent value for money."

"The place itself was great. The room was charming and the gardens pleasant to walk in.
We stayed for one night. During that time there were three power outtages which were a concern as we had small children with us and the baby alarm was connected to the power supply.
The dinner was great - menu gourmand however service was spectacularly slow and my wife got food poisoning from the meal.
Service overall was quite good. When we complained about the meal, a small deduction was made from the bill and we were gifted a bottle of champagne.
Finally, it may not be my first choice, but I would certainly consider staying again."
|
"Brilliant, in every respect! but don't encourage others in case it becomes overbooked. We intend to stay again."
|
"The location is exquisite and the service second to none. The food was truly magnifique! I definitely would go back to this hotel, but to a larger room (or maybe to a less expensive room like the one we had)."
|
"Chateau d'Etoges is without doubt one of the most special places we have ever stayed. Everything was perfect, from the accommodation, to the service, to the meals, to the atmosphere. Despite the age of the Chateau it is sparkling. My 5 year old daughter just loved the grounds with the baby animals in Spring. We will definitely be back and I am already telling everyone I meet about it."

"We had a lovely stay at Chateau D'Etoges and I have recommended to many friends!
The room was lovely and the staff was all very courteous and helpful. We had the package including dinner in their restaurant which was superb and the staff was very helpful in choosing the best wines and champagnes to accompany a fantastic French meal. I think what really made our stay was the tour the next morning of Moet, including a private tasting which was totally unexpected."
