"In brief , the chateau was excellent. The room was excellent (and huge!). Staff were friendly and courteous. Food was superb. Only complaint was the weather − which was out of your hands anyway."

"The stay was extremely enjoyable. good, unobtrusive service. Restaurant excellent was also quite child friendly. Weaknesses were the plumbing system...the shower was not efficient and the mix between hot and cold water was very irritating..either too hot or too cold."

"I am happy to report that we absolutely loved our stay at the Chateau de Chissay and have been raving about the hotel to all of our friends.
The suite where we stayed was atmospheric and charming. the service from all of the staff was friendly and helpful. I do not have the words to describe the wonderful meal we enjoyed. It was one of the best three meals I have eaten in my life, and I have stayed in hotels all over the world.
We look forward to visiting the hotel again and this time will stay for longer, rather than just passing through en route as we did this year."

"We had a very good time at Chateau de Chissay. The staff was very helpful and friendly, even to the point that the manager Alain GUINOISEAU picked us up by car when we were lost. The service was wonderful.
The property itself was also excellent. Although it was very warm, the chateau proved a very nice place to explore and wander around.
We really enjoyed ourselves!"

The room we had was of a high quality and maintained very well. (tea / coffee making facilities within the room should be provided)
The staff we had contact with were helpful and polite.

Our stay at Chateau de Chissay was delightful. The staff were most helpful, which was of importance to me as I have some mobility problems. Nothing was too much trouble for them and the Restaurant was excellent.
We would very strongly recommend this hotel

"I was invited for a wedding ceremony and was a lovely experience just to get there and see the wonderful castle. "We stayed at this Chateau de Chissay 4 years ago and the accommodation was wonderful, but the restaurant was only OK. Location was not great, you needed a car and was not near a town. We tried to gain accommodation again for July 2007, but it was fully booked."

"I have "bitter/sweet" memories of what, at the time, was a superb holiday in the Loire Valley − and in particular the last few days which my partner and I spent very pleasantly at Chateau de Chissay. My lady companion didn't remain my partner, hence the touch of melancholy that is associated with my recollections of a very enjoyable experience.... The whole atmosphere − the standard of service, the accommodation and the food were of the very highest quality....and I will forever fondly associate Mozart's "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik", which was playing as we sat in the courtyard area after dinner, with that truly sumptuous and memorable time....I hope the standards are being maintained − I might return...."
