Chateau de la Chevre d'Or is one of the most unique places in the Cote
d’Azur. The building was named by its former owner Balkovik, the famous musician, who rebuilt the chateau in 1924 to be his residence.
Chateau de la Chevre d’Or was later transformed into a hotel, but with very few rooms. It was in the late eighties when its present owner bought it and made into the luxurious
hotel it is today. Adding more rooms has not been easy, since this property is part of the ancient Eze Village. To build rooms they have to buy houses of the village and convert them. When you see the layout of the village in the pictures, not all of what you see is the hotel.
At the time Chateau de la Chevre d’Or was visited they were building what will surely be one of the most spectacular suites: 550 square feet of room space plus a private swimming pool and Jacuzzi, all looking straight out to the sea! At chateau de la Chevre d’Or it really does not matter which room they give you, they are all different but
each one is nicer than the other. Some may be farther from the reception or the two wonderful restaurants, but the walk offers a breathtaking view.
