Between a cosy 4 star Manor
House, and French Gourmet cuisine… All the seduction of the Chateau de
Montreuil is liked in this subtle alliance, more like a private country
retreat, rather than a real Chateau.
This elegant and cosy haven, built in 1933, lives for and breathes in
the scents and perfumes of the lovely wild and flowered garden that
surrounds it.
A charming family establishment, the elegance and softness of the place
will only be surpassed by the consideration, and care you will receive
throughout your stay: 4 star hotel service, gourmet restaurant, sitting-room
and bar, terrace and Garden, small outdoor heated swimming pool.
Long signposted walks in the countryside, strolls around the ramparts (from
directly in front of the hotel), hunting or fishing days, wine buying,
what ever your plans are, Lindsay and Christian as well as all their
staff, will be delighted to help you organize your free time.
The 16 rooms and suites are all very comfortable and cosy, and o
different styles, sizes and décor, from the most modern to the most
classic, all will delight you with their own particular style and
relaxing atmosphere, that reigns through the whole house. Rooms
facilities: minibar, satellite television, Hi-Fi and CD Player, safe and
hairdryer.
You will sense immediately the “English touch” in the rooms at Chateau
de Montreuil: each element of the decoration has been carefully thought
out, and is so relaxing with refined drapes and furniture, charming and
romantic.
The Chateau de Montreuil’s romanticism continues on into the pretty
garden which surrounds it, full of colours and scent, herbaceous borders
and lawns.
A subtle note of man’s labour and nature: some of trees have been shaped
to resemble chess pieces.
Stay and while away the time by a gentle walk in the garden, passing
under the trees where the sunlight is gently filtered by leaves, take a
few strokes in the swimming pool, or just have a delicious relaxing
moment by resting in the deckchairs at the bottom of the garden: a
feeling of well being will suddenly embrace you… |
