"Wonderful chateau, although it is not en Champagne region, for us, coming from England, the location was perfect."

" I cannot give high enough praise, Jerome was the most welcoming host, the Chateau itself was beautiful, dinner & breakfast was the best we had during a ten day stay in France, visited the some battlefields after a history lesson from Jerome on the area."

"One other Chateau Hotel we use regularly is the Chateau de Remaisnil near to Doullens in Picardy. The rooms are delightful and the Chateau is surrounded by beautiful grounds. Again, the hospitality and food are of the highest standard. This hotel is an ideal stopping place on route from – or back to – the channel tunnel or port via the A16. It is also very well situated for the Somme battlefield, a much visited area for many people from the UK and further field. The Chateau is better known as the Laura Ashley Chateau – the previous owner. The present owners are the Carroll family."

"The Chateau de Remaisnil is a delightful property and staying there is a most enjoyable experience. Above all, it is still a family home and so one feels more a member of a house party than a paying guest, particularly when gathering in the Grand Salon for pre-dinner drinks with other guests. Jerome Bailleux is an excellent chef with a keen sense of humor, and the owner of the house, Charles Carroll, is an exceptionally welcoming and charming host. We did not have the good fortune to meet his wife Terri but feel sure that she would be equally welcoming. To stay here is not cheap, but the experience and ambience is second to none, the food superb, and the wine list not only excellent but also reasonably priced. The Chateau itself, like any building of this type, shows signs of its age, but this is no way detracts from what can only be described as an enchanting experience. I urge you to stay there."
