The Château du Lac is the only
five-star hotel in Wallonia. It is also the only one with rooms situated
between a lake and a park. The latter boasts a Trianon, like Versailles,
and a William Tell chapel, identical to the one on the Lac des Quatre-Cantons!
Both romantic and modern, the reception the Château gives its guests
sets it apart.
All of the Château du Lac’s rooms are equipped with a thousand and one
conveniences that enhance both comfort and atmosphere. All signs of a
personalised service dedicated to your well-being.
Divine culinary discoveries? Or the warmth of an English pub? Choose
between the two different worlds that await you on either side of the
hotel reception: to the right, the very elegant Genval.Les.Bains lounge
and bar which melds fine cuisine with a trendy décor; to the left, The
Kingfisher Inn, which combines traditional bar and club atmosphere. The
Genval.Les.Bains is a place that conjugates a restaurant, bar, salon,
gallery-lounge, tea-room & coffee-room, with a summer terrace, an open
hearth fireplace for the winter time and a spectacular view of Lake
Genval all year around. One can only applaud this ultra-trendy concept:
a feast for eye and palate. Chef’s creativity is in tune with the decor:
not a single lapse in taste! The Kingfisher Inn starts to fill up from 5
pm onwards. Rendez-vous at the bar with friends to savour famous beers
on tap, including the unmistakable John Martin’s Special. Or, settle
into the club atmosphere of the TV room, with view on the lake, to sip a
long drink at your leisure. Choose one made with Schweppes Tonic, Soda
or Bitter Lemon, the drinks which made Genval’s international reputation!
The Château du Lac has created a sports and relaxation centre accessible
throughout the day during your stay at the Château with Sauna - Turkish
bath - Swimming Pool - Qualified instructor – Apparatus – Massage –
Aerobics. The John Harris Fitness Centre is a relaxation area
wonderfully situated on the roof of the Château. It has an unassailable
view over the Lake and the surrounding woodlands. |
