Chateau d'Isenbourg is a
lovely property less than an hour from Strasbourg right in the middle of
some of the most wonderful vineyards of the famous Alsatian white wines.
You have to drive through them, to get to the chateau, which is up on
the hill. The building is an authentic fairy tale style chateau and
although they kept the inside structure and layout, the rooms are all
fitted with modern comfort, maintaining the fabulous ambiance. The
Chateau d'Isenbourg, among its many amenities, counts a a beautiful
inside swimming pool and Jacuzzi, with a panoramic glass wall that lets
you enjoy one of the most astonishing views of the vineyards. This can
be particularly breathtaking in winter, when you are inside this Jacuzzi,
big enough for six people if not more, all looking out over the vineyard
hills covered with snow, and you are immersed in the bubbling hot water
of the spa! There is also a wonderful restaurant located in an XIIIth
century vaulted hall, which is absolutely gastronomical. And there are a
few nice simple restaurants within 5 minutes by car from the chateau.
