Our speciality: traditional Thai massage
Traditional Thai massage is one of the discipline's great ancestral traditions, with techniques dating back more than 2,000 years. This method is inspired by Buddhism, and stimulates dynamism and the body's energy circulation to free tensions, resulting in a profound state of relaxation. The massage therapist follows the paths of the ten main energy meridians recognised in acupuncture. The result on the body is deep and long-lasting, and can be extremely stimulating or extremely relaxing according to the intensity of the treatment.
Traditional Thai massage
Traditional Thai massage, which is carried out on the floor, without oil, combines muscle kneading, thumb pressure on energy points and meridians and numerous yoga-inspired stretching techniques. Thai massage is one of the "energetic" group of massages. It is suitable for those who do not suffer from any particular medical conditions.
30 to 150 minute session.
Thai essential oil massage
The treatment is carried out on a massage table. It has similar effects to traditional Thai massage on energy meridians and points, but uses sliding movements with essential oils. The massage is slow and deep. It combines pressure techniques and smoothing of the energy meridians with stretching techniques. Our oil massages are carried out using natural, very high-quality Thai products produced by Harnn & Tann.
One of the most attractive towns in Alsace, Colmar is filled with medieval and early Renaissance buildings, with half-timbered structures, gables, and gracious loggias. Tiny gardens and washhouses surround many of the homes. Its old quarter looks more German than French, filled with streets of unexpected twists and turns. As a gateway to the Rhine country, Colmar is a major stopover south from Strasbourg. Near the vine-covered slopes of the southern Vosges, it's the third-largest town in Alsace.
Colmar has been so well restored that it's Alsace's most beautiful city, far more so than Strasbourg. While walking its streets, you'll find it hard to tell that Colmar was hard hit in two world wars.
At the Tommeries, you will have access to two restaurant dining rooms with very definite characters.
The "Salle panoramique" is largely open onto the terrace and the Clos d'Isenbourg vineyards with the old town in the distance. In a Louis XV style, its crystal chandeliers, beautiful stone flooring and panoramic view give it great elegance.
Next door, the "Salle Dagobert", a very high vaulted room dating from the 12th century, charms with its authenticity and Louis XIII décor.
The tommeries are typical wood pulpits supporting large tubes of blown glass filled with water and charcoal into which are placed, like in vases, vine shoots with bunches of grapes in order to store the fruit in the best conditions until the Christmas and new year's day celebrations when they are enjoyed as a family.
