The
Chateau des Vigiers is a seventeenth century chateau hotel with a
magnificent 18 hole golf course surrounding it, along with several acres
of the chateau’s private vineyards. This property is a resort, they have
just about everything necessary to make your stay not only unforgettable
but as active as you wish. And at the same time if you want to just
relax in one of the salons of the chateau and take it easy, or simply go
for a stroll, this is the place. Also the location is very convenient to
visit the Dordogne Valley as well as the Saint Emilion wine country,
because Vigiers is just between the two. The chateau building houses 25
rooms and the “dependance” which was built later, but preserving the
style of architecture in the chateau, has eleven two level junior suites
plus eleven rooms. This “dependance” building is midway between the
chateau and the brasserie, sort of like the club house with a bar and
restaurant where you can enjoy a nice three course lunch for less than
twenty five dollars, and if you wish, accompanying this meal with the
fine wine of the property, is not a bad idea at all and also very
inexpensive, the wine bottle costs even less than the menu... The restaurant in the chateau opens only for dinner. |
