Set in the heart of the Medoc vineyards discover the tranquillity and refinement of a historic mansion.
The Medoc has the atmosphere of an island. Surrounded by the biggest forest and broadest estuary in Europe, close to the Atlantic Ocean, there is a permanent symbiosis between land and water. As the seasons go by, one can follow the passage of migratory birds and fish, but especially the growth and development of the meticulously tended vines, being prepared to deliver yet another promising harvest.
In this unique setting, you will instantly fall in love with the elegant 17th century architecture of this mansion.
The reception rooms and lounges are warm and inviting with a very traditional British atmosphere gracefully blending with the contemporary furnishings and style of the dining room and bedrooms.
The main structure of the current chartreuse is a mansion dating back to the mid-19th century. Its two oldest turrets are vestiges of the first dwelling, built in the 17th century. Opened in 1989, the house has been a member of the Relais & Châteaux since 1992.
