ABOUT BOUTIGNY SUR ESSONE |

 Boutigny
is located on the Essonne river, in its higher course, where water
is still clean and generally very clear. The landscape is timbered,
since forming part of this solid mass which joint forests of
Fontainebleau and Rambouillet. Boutigny and its area are rich in
prehistoric vestiges, in particular on the rock solid masses
dominating the Essonne, which could provide shelters to the
prehistoric populations. Many drawings and engravings of this time
are found. Thus was discovered in 1953, in the cave of Justice with
Boutigny, a very beautiful painting based on ochre, preserved very
well, representing one bovine at mottled peeling. Note that other
sources say that it acts of a horse.
Our village is likely to belong to the Regional Natural reserve of
Gâtinais. This makes it possible to guarantee the respect of the
interesting natural zones, in particular of the zones of existing
marsh on the commune, while making it possible to ensure a
harmonious development of the community. |
