We chanced upon Castillo El Collado while looking for a hotel with accessibility for a physically limited parent. Javier greeted us warmly, and furnished us with 2 easily accessible rooms. Javier showed us the tower with views of the Rioja valley and graciously prepared breakfast in a private dining room for us in the morning. The rooms were large, elegant, with views of the park below. I believe our stay there was the highlight of our trip for our parents.

" My wife and I stayed in Room "El Ruisenor" in Castillo El Collado for just one night, and were quite satisfied with the room and the service provided by the Hotel. Quite a distinctive small hotel with all rooms different. Ours was very colorful and nicely decorated - and comfortable. The only complaint I would make about the hotel was its lack of adjoining parking."

"My wife and I had a wonderful time at the beautifully appointed Castillo El Collado in the charming hill town of La Guardia. Javier, our host, went out of his way to make sure that we were comfortable and happy. Our room was very nice and everything was immaculate and in good order. We loved our view from our corner room. Javier´s English is probably better than our Spanish, so we were able to communicate very well. I would recommend this centrally located hotel very highly and would stay there again."

"My wife and I enjoyed our stay there tremendously--we have never experienced before a hotel where the employees worked so hard to insure a comfortable and pleasant stay. The breakfasts were sumptuous and the room was very clean and spacious. I would continue to recommend it wholeheartedly. I regret we didn´t have the opportunity to have dinner there--we heard from several sources in town that it is excellent. It’s a superb hostelry in a lovely town."
