"My husband and I were very pleased with our stay at the Chateau des Monthairons. The staff was pleasant and helpful, the hotel and grounds were beautiful and our room was pretty and very comfortable. We were there on a Monday night so the restaurant was serving only a set menu to hotel guests but the dinner was absolutely wonderful and the aperitifs served on the terrace beforehand a perfect beginning. The only thing I missed was a computer with internet connection for the use of guests but the manager let me use the one at the front desk so it was not a big issue. All in all, a very enjoyable stay."

"Our stay at Chateau des Monthairons was AWESOME!! The grounds were lovely- we greatly enjoyed walking around them. The dinner was one of the best we have ever had. The room was incredible. This was a short anniversary getaway and we couldn´t have been more pleased!!!"

"We have stayed at Chateau des Monthairons several times and it is already on our list of preferred stopping places as we drive through France. We have stayed in at least four rooms at the Chateau, some more than once and this time had Room 24 for the first time. This has been recently renovated and is a really lovely room and the one we shall book whenever possible. The service, as always, was courteous and efficient and the food was its usually high standard. We have already recommended this hotel to other people."

"My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Chateau des Montharions. The ambience of the hotel was wonderful! The beautiful, peaceful setting was a foretaste of how we would find the hotel. Our room was the right size and its facilities suited us. All the staff were courteous and helpful. Breakfast was as we would expect and dinner was superb; the puddings were especially enjoyable! There were too many delicious one to choose from!!! We enjoyed a peaceful stroll beside the river (and saw herons). We used the hotel as a base to begin exploring the battlefields of Verdun and the Argonne Offensive and it proved a good choice as access to and from these was very easy. We shall certainly come and again for a longer stay, to explore the countryside and to enjoy the hospitality of the Chateau des Montharions as well. We are not always so complimentary about hotels we stay in, but this one has proved a gem."

I must say that my Family´s accommodation was excellent and that the staff were indeed extremely courteous, efficient and helpful Having said that, I was extremely disappointed that despite having given advance notice that my Son-in-law was a Vegetarian, the kitchen staff were unable to produce for him a more appetizing and interesting Main course than a platter of mixed Vegetables
