"Hotel Fira Palace"

"We have returned to Ireland refreshed and rested following our stay at your Hotel in Barcelona. Our bedroom was very comfortable and spacious and well cleaned. Our bathroom was always spotless. Your cleaning staff is very efficient and respectful of privacy. At the reception desk we found that although most staff were helpful, we have to single out a young woman whose name was M.Jesus--------- (cannot remember). She had long blonde hair, a lovely smile, and was most helpful to us with all our queries. The fact that her English was perfect made it easier for us to get the information we needed. We would also like to compliment the barman on duty who made two excellent Irish Coffees for us which we greatly enjoyed. There is some skill needed to make a good Irish Coffee! We hope you will not be offended if we mention a few small things that would have made our stay even more enjoyable. (1) There was a seal on the fridge (mini bar) which we understand is for the convenience of checking whether or not people have used it. As we did not intend taking anything from the fridge we felt obliged to leave the seal intact, which meant we could not keep our drinking water cool. Maybe this was our mistake, but perhaps a note to the effect that the fridge could be used, regardless of buying any of the contents, would be in the customer´s interest. (2) The tea which we were served from a container at breakfast was lukewarm. There is nothing worse than tea that is not hot. However, when we pointed this out to the waitress, she went to the kitchen and got us two lovely hot pots of tea. We would suggest that tea would be most enjoyed freshly made with boiling water. (3) At the pool, we noted that there was no indication as to the depth and as there were no walk in steps, because of arthritis, we found it difficult to climb down the shaky steps provided. We had not brought pool shoes with us and found the floor very slippery. Because of these points we only used the pool once. We must however compliment you on your changing rooms, which were spacious and comfortable. The Hotel Fira Palace was beautifully situated and within walking distance of many attractions particularly Mont Juic where we spent many happy hours. We hope you will accept our observations in the spirit with which they are intended. The points we have made are small, but often, it is the little details that make a good hotel, a great hotel. We will certainly recommend the Hotel Fira Palace to our friends here in Ireland."

"The hotel Fira Palace is one of the best options en Barcelona, specially if you have to assist to a fair in Barcelona. We checked all the others hotels around the area and no doubt, Hotel Fira Palace is the Best! Beautiful, big, but with charm and a very nice bar and very good restaurant, specially the attention from Miquel."
