| "We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We had a suite with a view over the gardens and the sea, and a well appointed bathroom. This hotel was built in the era of "The Grand Hotel", in the times when people travelled by boat and train rather than by air, and there was a quality of yesteryear with this hotel. The staff in all departments were excellent, especially those at the front desk. Certain renovations were being undertaken during our stay, for which apologies were made and accepted, but these did not interfere with our enjoyment. The dining room was large and imposing, and we had some enjoyable breakfasts and dinners there. Luckily we walked in the hotel gardens on our first day, as the weather was not of the best, but that is not the fault of the hotel."
