| We wanted to be in the heart of Madrid and chose the Gran Hotel Conde Duque for that very reason. We made a good decision, but not only because of location, as we found this to be a great hotel as well. Our room was lovely, well appointed, clean with quite a few extra modern conveniences. Another really plus was many of the staff spoke English and were very helpful in directing us to the areas we wanted to visit. Being so close to the busy areas, we also thought the Gran Hotel Conde Duque might be rather noisy, but been Gran Hotel Conde Duque in a residential area in front of a large square full of trees, noise of the shops, restaurants and such, really don´t invade the Gran Hotel Conde Duque itself. Just a really nice place!
