"Fortaleza do Guincho"

The Fortaleza do Guincho is just fantastic! Cascais is fantastic too; Portuguese kings and many exiled kings have lived in Cascais over the years... The rooms in the old fortress reflect the past history of this place, and somehow make you feel a part of it while keeping you extremely comfortable at the same time. The views are stunning, especially if one is lucky enough to be able to view the sunset from their room as we were. Dinner was exceptional, although not huge portions are served...but certainly adequate. We enjoyed the two beaches for the most part, and spent the weekend soaking up the sun and relaxing. Would definitely return to Fortaleza do Guincho in a heartbeat!
