| We try to avoid large hotels at all costs, but a recent business meeting took my husband and I to the Swissotel Berlin, last year, and I must say my feelings on large hotels has changed drastically, at least from the experience we had at this one. It was an excellent experience and we even stayed over a few days after the meeting. Even though it was huge, one felt very special, thanks to the courteous staff and services they offered. First off, Swissotel Berlin is a large modern hotel in Berlin with lots of glass and polished steel everywhere, and wonderful lighting systems, and the location is excellent, being so close to many attractions, shopping, great restaurants and coffee shops. Oh, and I forgot to mention the buffet breakfast at the Swissotel Berlin...very good, as well as the hotel restaurant. Our room was quite spacious with lovely modern contemporary furnishings, uncommonly clean, and the bath had a shower and a tub, with lots of extra amenities. Can´t beat it!
