| "Our stay at the Hotel Rector in Salamanca, in October 2006, was outstanding in every way. The hotel was small and intimate, with beautiful furnishings. Our bedroom was immaculate and most comfortable. The service -- just one woman at a small counter at the front of the hotel -- could not have been better, as it was cheerful, helpful and fully informed. The hotel is also extremely conveniently located, just across the street from the walkway that leads in a few minutes to the beautiful sights of the city. During our two-week trip through northern Spain, we stayed at many very fine hotels, including some superb paradors but no place was more appealing, pleasant, and comfortable than the Rector. We recommend it fully and would be most pleased to stay there again in the future."
