| We searched for reviews on Landhaus Zu den Rothen Forellen as we were going to be close to Ilsenburg for a few days, but found none, and thought it was worth checking out anyway, and we were not disappointed. Our room was very nice, clean and spacious, well decorated...sort of country/traditional, and the bath was so luxurious, more so than we would have imagined. It was difficult to decide on which view we wanted...the beautiful mountain region, or the huge lake, but we decided on the mountain view. We felt the staff was quite courteous and helpful The large "wellness" center is open and airy, allowing one to indulge in sheer and blissful relaxation. The dinners were excellent! We also managed some of the easier walks on the mountain trails around Landhaus Zu den Rothen Forellen and all in all, our stay was a very relaxing experience!
