| We stayed at Hotel Schloss Wilkinghege last year while attending a wedding, and what a beautiful place we found this to be. We even extended our stay for a couple of days. This romantic chateau is everything one can imagine and more. The modern comforts of the lovely rooms leave little to be desired, and the old "castle" as called, is even surrounded by a beautiful moat that attracts a variety of wildlife. Obviously, the garden walks takes one back to nature in the peaceful landscape. We enjoyed a round of golf at the adjacent golf course, and there was quite a lot to do in the area, ballooning for one, which we didn´t do, and cycling as well as other attractions. The elegant dining room in the Hotel Schloss Wilkinghege offers some of the freshest and finest contemporary cuisine we´ve encountered, and the wine selection was awesome! They have managed very well to graciously keep the old world ambiance in harmony with modern day expectations.
