Hotel Fortino Napoleonico is a unique hotel which rises majestically from the tranquil and stupendous area of Riviera del Conero, a small peninsula, with its white cliffs thrusting into the Adriatic Sea.
Built at the Emperor's order in 1808, this extraordinary military complex is surrounded by flowering paths and gardens. It is very close to 2 beautiful cliffs called the Two Sisters and the famous Roman church, Santa Maria di Portonovo which is an artistic jewel of the 11th century. The salons now fill the former armory, the rooms (some big enough for 3-4) are furnished with lovely antiques and the restaurant serves great seafood cuisine.
Some of the facilities of this splendid hotel includes: swimming pool, tennis court at 200 meters, garden overlooking the sea (two steps from the hotel) and parking. It looks at its most impressive if you approach from the sea. You will never forget having a meal in the wonderful dining hall called “Salone Dei Maresclalli” whose windows are damp from the sea spray on windy days.
