Le Noirmont's  origin come from the end of the 14th century, when its founders opened a clearing in a big forest called The Noir Montagne (The Black Mountain) thus calling the settlement The Noirmont.
It is a picturesque small village located in the region of Jura at an altitude of between 500 and 1000 mts. Endless ski options can be found nearby, as well as museums and historic places to visit.
