RESTAURANT CAFÉ |
| |
|
 |
The high, beamed ceilings and
medieval stonework combine naturally with the creative,
Franken-Bavarian kitchen to make this Rothenburg restaurant
superbly unique. Enjoy a romantic candlelight dinner, a
casual lunch in the cafe, or just relax and catch the last
rays of sunshine at an outdoor table. |

WINE CELLAR |
| |
|
The wine cellar is 750 years
old. It was originally used by Franziskaner monks to store
their wine. The renovation of the hotel in 1969 - 71
converted the cellar into a congenial wine tavern containing
many costly treasures, while preserving all that makes it a
protected monument. Today the wine cellar is available for
private events, year around. In addition to the full
restaurant menu, live entertainment and dancing are also
available to make your event a success. |

ABOUT ROTHENBURG |
| |
|
|
 |
Rothenburg ob der Tauber is one of
Germany's grandest tourist attractions, a little city that has
everything. Fantastic Gothic and Baroque architecture, an almost-fully
intact old city wall, and some of southern Germany's most colorful
Rathaus over the Marktplatzfestivals. Located right off Autobahn 7,
it is very accessible, which has made it a more lucrative tourism
draw than other nearby locations like Dinkelsbuehl. It is only an
hour drive away from Heidelberg. |
|
|
|
|
Rothenburg is also a good place to
buy specialty items, particularly porcelain, medieval weapons,
linens, and crystal. Obere Schmiedgasse has the majority of such
stores, and offer worldwide shipping and tax rebate services for
visitors from outside the European Union. |
