In the heart of the golden triangle, opposite the Grand Théâtre, the Grand Hôtel de Bordeaux & Spa is back on centre stage as an exceptional product after an authentic restoration.
When we look at this building''s history we understand why the Grand Hôtel is so important to the people of Bordeaux. Its neoclassical façade, which is in perfect harmony with that of the Grand Théâtre ─ both were created by architect Victor Louis in 1776 ─ is also a major reason for the Grand Hôtel''s prestige.
In 1999, Bordeaux businessman Michel Ohayon decided to buy this façade and the adjacent buildings with the firm intention of reviving the myth of the Grand Hôtel. Eight years later, he had achieved his goal, and at the end of 2007 the doors of what is now called the Grand Hôtel de Bordeaux & Spa opened revealing a world more majestic than ever, brilliantly orchestrated by designer Jacques Garcia.
The Spa, entirely decorated by the famous Jacques Garcia, occupies the top three floors of the hotel and includes the panoramic Jacuzzi-terrace which overlooks the Grand Théâtre and the rooftops of Bordeaux. Discover a hushed and relaxing atmosphere, bathed in natural light. Stealthily enter the magical world of the Bains de Léa Spa.

Art & Culture
The city of Bordeaux which hugs the Garonne and its famous crescent-shaped port has retained its former theatrical decor. Its splendid 18th century façades with their wrought iron balconies and "mascarons" border on a privileged environment. Parks and gardens perfect for peaceful relaxation, wide pedestrian avenues in the wake of the tramway, quays converted into promenades and places of festivity: here, elegance is a way of life. Bordeaux''s extraordinary transformation reveals an exceptional architectural heritage, illustrated by the fact that became a Unesco World Heritage Site in 2007.
The city has modernised itself over the years without breaking with its harmony and the richness of the past centuries. This subtle balance makes Bordeaux a multi-facetted city, with a wealth of interesting features. Bordeaux owes its fame to its vineyards which now give it its world wine capital status. In addition to being surrounded by prestigious châteaux, it is also a centre of French gastronomy. Not far from the Ocean, in a region which is a wonderful place to live in, Bordeaux promises unforgettable discoveries.
