The Grand Hotel
Kronenhof in Pontresina with a history dating back to 1848, has been an elegant
address ever since. The spacious salons with their wall paintings by Otto
Haberer from 1901, the elegant Grand Restaurant with the ambiance of a castle’s
hall as well as the impressive panorama of the mountains and glacier have
inspired guests. This landmark hotel embodies the best preserved neo-baroque
building of all the Grand Hotels located in the Alps and was awarded as
“GaultMillau Hotel of the Year” in 2008.
The 112 generously proportioned rooms and suites enchant with a unique view to
the mountains and glaciers. The Kronenhof Spa stretching out over 2’000 square
metres, was inaugurated in December 2007 and disposes of a lavish pool,
children’s pool, experience bath, Finnish sauna, bio sauna, stone grotto steam
bath, saltwater grotto, relax floating-bath, Kneipp footpath, a relaxation room
with fireplace and a fitness centre with the latest equipment.
Also not to be missed is the gastronomic choice in these unique surroundings.
The wide range of restaurants at the Grand Hotel Kronenhof guarantees culinary
variety. Whether you dine in one of the most beautiful Grand-Restaurants in
Switzerland, enjoy a candle light dinner at the cosy Gourmet restaurant
KronenstĂĽbli (awarded with 16 points GaultMillau), or whether you have a light
lunch or drink in the sun on the wooden terrace of the Pavillon – this is all
part of the experience of a Kronenhof guest.
The hotel is open during the summer as well as the winter season.
