The Gran Hotel La
Toja is located in La Toja Island, Galicia. This place is probably the most
visited spot in Spain and the Gran Hotel is the best hotel in the area, it was built in 1907 and the feeling of grandeur from those days is still there to be experienced by every guest. Although this hotel is most frequented in summer, it has a lot to offer all year round, specially with the beautiful views from the terrace of just about any room. As a matter of fact, maybe the best time to visit this island is off season. The hotel is open all year round and during off season you don’t have to put up with the summer heat and rates are lower of course, because their summer high season period is understood mainly for Europeans
with holidays during summer.
With the takeover in 2004 by the Spanish chain Hesperia, a mayor
refurbishing update all areas, respecting however the turn of the
previous Century `grandeur´.
One of the biggest attractions of the Gran Hotel is its Thermal Club which
was inaugurated in 1998. This is a wonderful Spa.
The island’s natural spring
medicinal waters offer just everything. The design of the place gives the feeling that rather
than being in a medicinal Spa, you are in a wonderful thermal water
indoor swimming pool.
