NH Gran Hotel Zaragoza was opened in 1929 by King Alfonso XIII and completely restored in 1997. It has been a point of reference in Zaragoza ever since. The NH Gran Hotel Zaragoza has been known to keep its class and delightful atmosphere as well as its refinement. The large round lounge with its glazed roof is a good example of the elegant decor. The 134 bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable and decorated with taste, each with its own functional and very neat bathroom. For preference you can take the suite in which King Juan Carlos lived when a student at the Zaragoza military accademy. The NH Gran Hotel Zaragoza is located right in the town center, between two well known streets: Joaquin Costa and Issac Peral, near Avenida de la Independencia (Plaza de los Sitios). Among other amenities, you can visit the gym, equipped with the latest fitness machines. Recommended visits: Churches La Seo and Nuestra Señora del Pilar, and the Palacio de la Aljaferta.

"At NH Gran Hotel Zaragoza our experience was that the hotel was extremely hard to find (given that the main entry to the town was all under construction so all directions were useless). We finally hired a taxi and followed the driver with our rental car. We found the hotel very nice, and the price was a good value (nicest room, lowest price), with a huge breakfast buffet. Unfortunately there were a lot of noisy convention groups and a large wedding party celebrating on our floor. The double doors between the bedroom and hall definitely helped, but when the local town fair ended at midnight and all the revelers walked by outside singing and laughing until past three in the morning, we got very little sleep. With all the noise and lousy nights sleep we would still give the hotel high marks for service, amenities, parking garage/valet, and helpful desk clerks."

"The hotel was fine but what was not fine that you had no non smoking rooms and for people like myself with chemical sensitivities I was not very comfortable. Your staff was friendly but they were also smoking. That was not comfortable for me. So I think you should have at least 2-3 rooms for people like me... I know that in Spain people had not got the message about the dangers of smoking but as a physician it was very disturbing for me to see so many young people addicted to nicotine."
