One of the oldest Christian monuments of the Baltic area is also situated on the estate: In the twelvth century the first Benedictine monastery of Pomerania was built in Stolpe. The remains can still be visited today. The surrounding area of Stolpe offers various atrractive possibilities:

* The Baltic island Usedom with the seaside resorts Ahlbeck and Heringsdorf can be reached by the hotel bus in about 30 minutes. This is also where the nearest golf course is situated.

* The hanseatic city Anklam (10 minutes car drive) is the birthplace of Otto Lilienthal who was the first man in history to fly (1891). The Otto-Lilienthal-Museum in Anklam offers more insights into the life of this pioneer. So, you can visit the beautiful city of Greifswald.
