Heritage Av Liberdade is a small Luxury Boutique hotel in the historic center of Lisbon.
The Heritage Av Liberdade Hotel is the Hoteis Heritage Lisboa's latest project and is located on the Avenida da Liberdade, the most emblematic road in the city of Lisbon.
It is a restored late XVIII century building, the decoration of which was entrusted to Miguel Câncio Martins - a Portuguese architect who is renowned for his work on mythical spaces like the Thiou and the Buddha Bar in Paris, the Strictly Hush in London and the Man Ray in New York.
The decoration, which has city life and traditions as its theme, also incorporated modern technology, which is one of the principal assets of this hotel. As it happens, this was one of the project's main underlying concerns from the beginning: combining tradition with modern life in the most efficient fashion. According to Miguel Câncio Martins: "To maintain coherence everything meets in the equilibrium of combining the old with the modern." The outside of the building was fully preserved. The interior of the building was fragmented in order to expand and create the conditions for new common areas, and the entire interior was decorated in a customised, urban, Lisbon style
Public areas on the ground floor and in the Mezzanine: Lobby bar with esplanade; a library.
An atmosphere that brings to mind the Portuguese way of living was created in the lobby. The style is a mix of tradition and modernity, taking its inspiration from the urban bourgeois residences of Portugal.
Rooms: 42 custom-decorated rooms, with LCD TV, wireless access free of charge and CD/DVD player. The rooms are a compromise between the modern and the traditional. They are adapted and tailored according to the layout of each floor.
