COOKING CLASSES IN GORDES, PROVENCE WITH CHEF XAVIER MATHIEU

Program: Initiation and Tasting

Provençal and creative cuisine cooking classes are presented by our chef to small groups of ten people in the kitchens of the Hostellerie gastronomic restaurant, in one afternoon ended with a gourmet dinner. Great Chefs meet each others at Le Phébus.

The program runs in half a day including a meal of several different preparations according to a theme. Aperitif, selected wines, mineral water and coffee are included. This is a course of two to three hours making proposing and demonstrating recipes.

An oenological complement is proposed by our wine water during the meal.

Le musée de la lavande in Coustellet, story of distillation and utilisation of lavender through stills exposition. A nice shop there is selling many products made with lavender.

Le conservatoire des Ocres et pigments appliqués in Roussillon, this ancient ochre factory proposes you guided visits, workshops, thematic expositions.

Constantly looking for the best, Xavier MATHIEU subtly draws its inspiration from the recipes of his Provencal's land that he reinterprets with elegance and creativity depending of the seasonal markets, and offers vegan and vegetarian menus to complete his appetizing creations.

His cuisine, blending subtle flavors, textures and colors, invites you to a gourmet travel through the heart of Provence, sublimating the sometimes forgotten classics.
