Hotel de Banvile is a small Parisian hotel located in a
residential district, one of Paris better districts, where
apartments can cost the same as a mansion somewhere else. This
hotel has been in the same family since 1967; it is now managed
by the grand daughter of the original owner. It is a unique,
rare-to-find, lovely place. The decor of each room is different,
something like the French chateaux where each room has its own
name and character. In the pictures you will be able to
appreciate what we mean. The location of Hôtel de Banville might
strike as not the whereabouts you wanted to stay in Paris, but
on the contrary, it is away from tourist traffic, but within
easy reach by metro and in the heart of true Parisian lifestyle
with lots of fine restaurants and shops where the Parisians go.
Then the family atmosphere of the way the place is run, is also
quite enjoyable, for instance, Marianne, the manager, grand
daughter of the owner who passed away, plays the piano and sings
in the living room (lobby) once a week. Here they have a nice
bar where you will surely spend a night to remember. By all
means, we highly recommend this property, it was last
refurbished when we were here: July 2002. They did a great job,
it's even prettier now... |
