Hotel dei Consoli is situated
in Via Cola di Rienzo, near the stately Saint Peter's Square, in a small
century-old building recently reconstructed in the Imperial style. The
Spanish Steps are only 10 minutes walking. The Hotel is easy to reach
from the nearby Termini Railway Station but if you prefer, pick up limo
service from and to the airport can be arranged at very convenient rates.
The detailed cornices and columns have been created by the famed master
plasterers of Naples noted for their work in the redecoration of the
celebrated Reggia di Caserta. The hotel occupies three floors which have
been decorated and named accordingly - Piano dei Mappamondi, Piano dei
Fiori and Piano delle Battaglie.
There are 26 splendid rooms and 2 junior suites. 18 of the rooms are of
superior quality with showers and 6 are deluxe rooms outfitted with
Jacuzzi whirlpool baths. Both junior suites have Jacuzzi whirlpool
showers. From the furnishings to the smallest details, each of them is
decorated in the finest quality. The furniture in Italian pregiato wood,
the draperies and bedding of elegant silks and the finest porcelain
combine to honor the imperial style of this refined hotel. The bathrooms
are resplendent with regal porcelain from Majolica, Spain.
Hotel dei Consoli is well located, only breakfast is served but the area
is full of a large variety of restaurants. This exclusive, centrally
setting hint only at the detailed attention paid to the needs of each
