Hotel Domus Aurea has been reborn again in the Valley of the Temples after an accurate restoration that has brought this villa of the XVIII century to the ancient splendour of such long time ago, when this "casa" was a meeting Place for the local nobility and travellers, who in the Grand Tour went by in order to stay in the mythical Valley, searching among the ancient ruins of the myth of Gods and heroes of Magna Grecia. With today’s renewals and the transformation into hotel they have tried to recreate the charm "d'antan", taking back the building to that discreet allure, that Sicilian aristocracy loved to give to the country house, which just having stylistic preciosities, didn't subside to un-useful baroquisme, which were so dear to the Spanish culture, that during the XVIIth and XVIIIth centuries raged in all streets of Sicily. The recently opened restaurant "IL Giardino" offers tipical sicilian food in a cosy atmosphere where in summer time, guests can have dinner on the terrace with the Temples' hill view lighting.
