Hotel Elysees Mermoz is a deluxe property at give away prices
just three blocks from the Champs Elysees main avenue. Hotel
Elysees Mermoz was recently reconstructed, they finished the
works in 1995. There are only 22 rooms and 5 suites, surely they
could have put more rooms, but then it would not be the same.
Because the rooms of this hotel in addition to its location are
the highlight. They have 2 handicapped room downstairs and all
standard rooms and suites in the upper floors. 10 single rooms
as they call them, each with a full bed, lavishly decorated,
with independent toilet ensuite, which in many hotels would be
standard double rooms, but at Elysees Mermoz, they consider
these to be too small for two people, so only when there is
nothing left, they may rent them as doubles. The regular
standard doubles of this hotel are definitely more spacious by
Parisian standards, than many other hotels. And the suites are
probably the best deal, again lavishly decorated, with an
independent bedroom, a salon with a sofa bed, and separate
shower and tub in the bathroom. These suites rent for a price
that in practically any other hotel of similar quality, it would
be what they charge for a double room. |
