The SPA-HOTEL Jagdhof:

a homecoming

Natural materials, modern comfort and spacious interiors – every room and suite is a haven of individuality, functionality and supreme comfort. Many of the rooms feature traditional Tyrolean stoves and separate seating areas. Old pictures and historic family photographs adorn the walls of the 5-star Spa hotel, and exquisite pieces of antique farmhouse furniture add to the overall charm.

Light timbers combine with country-style fabrics for an ambience as warm as it is chic – colours, patterns and the subtlety of silk, porcelain and pewter interacting in cheerful harmony. Luxurious towels and superior toiletries are standard in all of our spacious bathrooms, and most of the rooms boast breathtaking views of the majestic Stubai Alps.

40 years of the Jagdhof – your hotel in Neustift

SPA-HOTEL Jagdhof – 5-star wellbeing hotel – Relais & Châteaux

2017 is our special year as the Jagdhof in Neustift celebrates its 40th birthday. Since Margot and Leo Pfurtscheller opened the Jagdhof back in 1977, the hotel has seen numerous architectural changes, and has evolved into one of Tyrol’s principal holiday and SPA destinations: attractive, award-winning, luxurious. Some things remain unchanged, however, just like 40 years ago, the Jagdhof is still the Stubai Valley’s only 5-star hotel.

The hotel happily remains family owned, and we continue to strive daily to offer our guests a most wonderful stay. This is our tradition of hospitality, and we will keep it going into the future.

Armin, Christina, Alban & Saskia Pfurtscheller

Location & surroundings of your 5-star hotel in Neustift

The Stubai Valley: so close to the sky…

The glacier’s eternal ice, pretty meadows, pristine forests and five authentic Tyrolean villages.

Only 20 minutes from Innsbruck, and easily reached via the Brenner motorway, the Stubai Valley is the epitome of an Alpine idyll. The world seems to slow down with every passing yard as you follow the Ruetz stream from the valley entrance in Schönberg to the 5-star hotel in Neustift.

A beautiful destination

For all seasons

Between spring and autumn, the Stubai Valley is a true paradise for hikers, mountain bikers, paragliders and anyone looking for fun, peace, beauty and nature.

In winter, the Stubai Valley is transformed into a snowy wonderland with four ski areas as well as perfectly groomed cross-country ski runs, cleared footpaths, toboggan runs and ice rinks.

The main attraction is the Stubai Glacier, Austria’s largest glacier skiing area, which is open nearly all year round. 110 kilometres of slopes at between 1,750m and 3,210m above sea level ensure guaranteed snow and skiing fun from October till June. Dive into the nearby lake for a refreshing swim straight after your exhilarating piste experience: only in the Stubai Valley.

Alpine golf

Within 20 to 50 kilometres of the Stubai Valley and your 5-star hotel in Neustift there are many golf courses, including Olympia Golf Igls, a golf course in Lans, the championship course in Rinn, Seefeld-Wildmoos golf course and Mieminger Plateau golf course.

Provincial capital Innsbruck

Sightseeing from your 5-star hotel in Neustift

In addition to its charming historic centre, the regional capital Innsbruck boasts many sights such as the Imperial Palace, the Triumphal Arch, Ambras Castle, and the city’s famous Golden Roof. The Bergisel ski jump and the unusual Hungerburg Funicular, both designed by the late Zaha Hadid, also attract visitors from around the world. Popular destinations include the city’s casino and Swarovski’s Crystal Worlds in Wattens.

Start the day with our fortifying gourmet breakfast buffet, and in the evening enjoy superb 5-course dinners by candlelight in the restful ambience of our six ‘Stuben’ – as we Tyroleans like to call our dining rooms. Take a seat at an attractively set table and let our staff attend to you with warm, welcoming smiles. Select starters, soups, main courses and desserts from a variety of culinary creations.

A world of wine

Without the right wine, great food would only be half as delicious… and the SPA-HOTEL Jagdhof’s wine cellar is one of the world’s best!

With around 1,100 bins and 20,000 bottles, including rarities such as a Château Mouton Rothschild 1948, rare 1982 and 1986 vintage Bordeaux wines, and Screaming Eagle, the Californian cult tipple, the wine cellar also leans heavily towards the Austrian wines that work so beautifully with the hotel’s fine Tyrolean cuisine. The Jagdhof’s wine collection caters for all tastes and offers something suitable in every price range.

Raise the bar

Time for exceptional tipples and great conversation

An evening at the SPA-HOTEL Jagdhof often culminates in the relaxed fireplace bar. It’s the perfect space for cosy fireside chats whilst enjoying a glass of sparkling Champagne, cocktail, or other fine tipple, for rekindling precious togetherness, making new discoveries and enjoying familiar flavours. Accompanied by live music or the crackle of the open fire. Select a cigar from the humidor, a schnapps from the excellent assortment, and let the Bar Manager divulge some of his secrets – it’s time for something special.

Ode to our region

Whether it’s locally sourced veal infused with mountain meadow aromas, freshly caught Alpine char with caviar, a delicate duet of duck liver with truffles and poached plums, or medium rare saddle of venison from our own game preserve: Boris Meyer’s creations are a declaration of love to the Alpine region in general and the Stubai Valley in particular.

Tyrolean fine dining à la Jagdhof.

Tyrol’s smallest fine dining restaurant

Gourmet gondola Spa Hotel in Neustift Tyrol Austria Relais & Châteaux

‘Feasting on cloud nine’ is how we describe dining in the Gourmet Gondola at the Stubai Valley’s 5-star gourmet hotel. The disused cable car gondola has been beautifully converted into a cosy Tyrolean ‘Stube’, and is now to be found on the Jagdhof’s generous terrace where guests enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding three-thousanders and the majestic Stubai Glacier at the end of the valley.

The Gourmet Gondola comfortably seats five in a unique setting for an unforgettable evening – whatever the season. In the summer, our Gourmet Gondola guests enjoy tasty local delicacies, while in the cold months of winter, it’s the in-place for cosy fondue nights. Choose between meat, cheese or chocolate – or have them all! The perfect place for a private get-together with family and close friends – and for romance, of course!

One of the finest wine cellars in the world

An oenophile’s treasure is carefully nurtured by the proprietor and Head Sommelier of the Relais & Châteaux SPA-HOTEL Jagdhof. In addition to featuring such rarities as a Château Mouton Rothschild 1948 and Château Lafite Rothschild 1916, the 5-star SPA-HOTEL Jagdhof’s wine list centres on a collection of fine Austrian wines that work beautifully with our excellent Tyrolean cuisine.

A wine lover’s treasure chest

1,100 different wines. 20,000 bottles.„

The Jagdhof’s wine cellar boasts around 1,100 bins and 20,000 bottles. Steeped in history, the vaults contain an impressive collection of the most highly sought Masseto by Tenuta dell’Ornellaia as well as bottles of Burgundy’s famous Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (DRC). We love to let slip that we also stock not one but two vintages of Screaming Eagle, the cult tipple from the Napa Valley.

British The World of Fine Wine magazine even awarded our wine list three stars – its highest accolade! Only two other establishments in the whole of Austria have been thus honoured.
