Since
1882, the Hotel Relais La Palma has been the preferred destination
of visitors coming to this Mediterranean pearl from all over the
world. The palm tree in front of the hotel became the symbol of a
simple hotel tradition where simple, unpretentious hospitality has
become synonymous with elegant and chic. Among the many celebrities
who have stayed at the hotel are: Roger Pereyfitte, Umberto Eco,
Luciano De Crescenzo, Prince Francesco Caravita di Sirignano, Prince
Giovanni Pignatelli, Sofia Loren, Gina Lollobrigida, Elsa Martinelli,
Renzo Arbore, and King Costantino di Grecia.
There are 74 rooms ranging from Junior Suites (some with Jacuzzi
pools on the panoramic terrace) to De Luxe and Superior Suites,
luxuriously equipped with frescoed bathrooms, bedroom trompe
d'oeil's that encapsulate the most striking of Capri's splendours
and retrace the time immemorial traditions of Locanda Pagano.
The epitome of Capri's tourist tradition, Hotel La Palma has
preserved and enhanced its image over the years with lively events
like its folkloristic celebration of Ferragosto (August Bank
Holiday) and its champagne extravaganza on New Year's Eve. Whatever
the event, Relais La Palma has always afforded its guests a truly
hospitable welcome that is as warm as the sunshine so characteristic
of the South. |
